Sirin is a girl obsessed with dreams and tornados.

She transforms everyday life in our small New England town by scattering her graffiti across bridges and bathroom stalls.

I was Sirin’s roommate in the summer of 1995. We both worked in restaurants, drank too much, and happily lived in squalor we believed to be artistic.

Sirin made all of it seem magical and meaningful, and she would laugh at me for my failure to smash nostalgia.
